What is Derax.gg?

Is it free to list a server?

Yes. Adding your server is completely free. Promotion (pinned slot above the ranked list) is an optional paid feature.

Which game types are supported?

Currently supported: TeamSpeak 3, Counter-Strike 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, Minecraft, Rust, SA-MP (GTA San Andreas Multiplayer), and Discord servers. More game types may be added in the future.

How do I add my server?

Go to "Add Server" in the navigation bar, select the game type, enter your server address (hostname or IP, with port if needed) and submit. The server must be online and reachable at the time of adding — player count and name are fetched immediately on submission.

Why is my server not being added?

Accepted Answer

The server must be online and responding at submission time. For TeamSpeak, make sure TCP port 10011 (ServerQuery) is open. For game servers, make sure the query port is accessible from the internet. Some hosting providers block query ports by default.

Can I add a server that is currently offline?

No. The server must be online at the time of adding so we can verify it and fetch its initial data.

I get "This server is already listed" — but I used a different hostname.

Duplicate detection works at the IP level. If two hostnames resolve to the same IP and port, only one listing is allowed. This prevents the same server appearing multiple times in the ranking.

How do I vote for a server?

Open any server detail page and click the Vote button. You will be asked to enter your in-game nickname (optional but recommended so server owners can reward you) and complete a quick human verification. No account is required to vote.

How often can I vote?

Once every 60 minutes globally across all servers — not per server. This prevents vote spam.

Why should I enter my nickname when voting?

Server owners can set up automatic in-game rewards for players who vote. If you enter your in-game nickname, the server plugin can identify you and give you a reward (items, credits, VIP, etc.) automatically.

How is the ranking calculated?

Rank points are computed from: average players online (measured hourly over the last 31 days), uptime (offline minutes reduce rank), votes (+0.1 per vote), and a website banner bonus (+0.1–0.2 pts/h if you place our banner on your site). New servers (under 20 days old) receive a 0.5× coefficient that gradually increases to 1.0× at day 31.

How often is the ranking updated?

Player snapshots are taken every hour. Rank points are fully recomputed once per day (at 23:00 UTC).

What does claiming a server do?

Claiming proves you control the server. Once claimed, you can edit the server description, social links and gallery images, generate a Vote API key for automatic player rewards, and receive email notifications if your server goes offline.

How do I claim my server?

Open the server detail page and click Claim. You will receive a short token (e.g. A3X9K). Temporarily put it in your server name (e.g. "My Server [A3X9K]"), then click Verify. The token is valid for 15 minutes.

What happens if my server stays offline?

After 25 days offline you receive a warning email. At day 31 the server is archived and hidden from the listing. Claimed servers have an additional 31-day grace period before permanent deletion. Unclaimed servers are deleted immediately at day 31.

What is the Vote API?

The Vote API lets your game server plugin automatically reward players who vote for your server on Derax.gg. After a player votes and enters their nickname, your plugin can fetch the list of new voters and give them in-game rewards.

How do I set up the Vote API?

Claim your server first. Then go to Edit Server (via your profile) and find the Vote API section. Click "Generate API key" — you will get a ready-to-use URL. Paste this URL into your server plugin. The endpoint returns all votes from the last 24 hours by default.

What does the Vote API response look like?

Can I filter the Vote API results?

Yes. Add ?since=2026-05-12T17:00:00Z to get only votes after a specific time. This is useful if your plugin runs on a schedule — save the last check time and pass it as since to get only new votes.

A promoted server appears in a featured slot above the regular ranked list for the selected game type, giving it maximum visibility to visitors.

Why do I need to verify my email?

Email verification is required to claim servers and receive important notifications (offline warnings, archival notices). You can log in before verifying but some features are restricted.
